Rep. Bob Etheridge Democrat, North Carolina 2nd District assaults a college student on a Washington sidewalk.
According to Etheridge's website Congressman Bob Etheridge is a proud native of North Carolina's Second Congressional district where he has lived virtually his entire life. He was born in Sampson County, grew up in Johnston County, and makes his home in Harnett County, where he has been a small businessman, part-time tobacco farmer, and full-time public servant.
Etheridge serves on the Committee on Ways and Means in the 111th Congress, considered one of the most powerful committees in Congress. The committee oversees a wide array of issues, including health care, Social Security, Medicare, unemployment benefits, welfare, child support and foster care and adoption.

Student: Hi Congressman. How are you? Do you fully support the Obama Agenda?
Congressman Bob Etheridge (D, NC): Who are you?
After repeating the question two more times, the congressman grabs the student and appearing to slap him once aggressively repeats the question, "Who are you."
Student shocked by the Congressman's reaction to his question: Whoa!
Student: I'm here for a project, Sir.
Congressman: Tell me who are you?
Student holding the camera replies: We're just here for a project, Sir.
Congressman: Tell me who are you?
Student holding the camera replies: We're just here for a project.
Congressman: I don't care about ... (unclear)
Student: Please let go of my hand?
Congressman: Tell me who are you?
Student: I'm just a student, Sir.
Congressman: From?
Student holding the camera replies: We're just students, that's all we are.
The Congressman still violently holding the student: I have a right to know who you are.
Student: I'm .... (unclear) in a public place.
Congressman: So am I, who are you?
Student holding the camera replies: All we are is students.
Student: Please let go of my arm, Sir.
Congressman: Who are you?
The Congressman more forcefully grabs the student towards him: Who you are?
Congressman suddenly lets go of the student, still repeating "who are you."
Student being finally let go walk away.
